Lettre d'Umesh Bomjan President de Little World Nepal

Social Work Education started in in 1996 from St. Xaviers' College. In 15 years it has spread to 26 colleges under different Universities of Nepal and 16 more colleges have already taken affiliation.
Social work have already gained academic recognition but professional recognition is still ignored by the state and the ...society. This means the future of social work and their profession is still in danger. It is sad to hear that there are only 15 MSW graduates in Nepal at present according to the source.
The rest are out of country or have changed their profession/study. The condition is same for the BSW graduates. Do anyone know BSW graduate or MSW graduate still working as a SOCIAL WORKER? I don't think there are. So, ask your self. Are you interested to work as a Professional social worker in Nepal? Do you want to give an identity to your Profession? Do want that everybody and the government to know the real potential of the trained social workers In Nepal? Do you want to be well recognized and respect your work? so,,,,, Are you interested to join the campaign on "SOCIAL WORK POLICIES IN NEPAL"? If your answer to these questions are YES !!! I DO, then lets workout for it. "SOCIAL WORK POLICIES IN NEPAL" is a policy campaign initiated by those MSW graduates in Nepal and supported by all of us. We are starting our discussion, meetings, in Nepal School of Social Work (Kadambari College and Nepal College of Development Studies). We will run the campaign together with all the social work colleges for the social workers' professional identity and to clear out their capacity to work in different sectors of the society and to promote their best work for the society... It's the real need, and the real cause to start, Please join us on Tuesday for an innovative lessons and ideas and to get more motivation from Dr. Nikku Bala Raju and we together work for the social work policy in Nepal...LETS GET UNITED FOR OURSELF
