Namaste Everyone,
We, the members of little World Nepal gave an idea to our batch to organize the rural camp at our working district i.e. Dolakha, where group of social work students will be well mobilized to the rural community to know an exam figure of the rural life. Student could experience the reality, difficulty, possibilities in the rural setting for 10 days.
As per the ideas, and with hoping the great responsibilities of little world Nepal for coordination, management of the overall camp. All the members of the Class decided to go to Gairimudi, Dolakha to fulfill their course credits as rural camp of the batch.
Respecting the groups decisions we few members of the little world Nepal started to work very rapidly for coordination, management for 10 days trip to my village.
Although we were in very limited hours we could fulfill our rural camp expectation very much successfully.
Our group could learn so many things about the rural life. They could closely deal with the various issues existing in the society. They could experience the real figure of rural problems and various advantages being at rural life as well.
Such as analysis of the child right practices in the remote villages of Nepal ,
Increasing factors of School droop out in secondary level.
Such as child rearing systems.
Similarly, group conducted the survey on migration. As many youths from rural area are rapidly migrating to different cities, or foreign countries in search of job. It is also one of the major challenges for the rural community to engage their youth in their own village.
Like wise group could watch out the problems of primary health care,
Sanitation.
similarly closely deal with various discrimination existing in the community. As social, economic, political status was the major sector for them.
Similarly the group also identified the various benefits to be at remote place as well.
As the place is naturally very beautiful, with pure and fresh drinking water, fresh air,
less pollution, best group forest preservation, rich in stone for roof, various sources of water but they are not well utilized well, possibilities of so many things to be done.
To identify those mentioned facts the group performed the various activities. like transient walk around the target areas, interaction with the community people, and 2 days home stay
program ( each student should stay in single house with family members, he or she should eat, stay with them itself, to work to talk whatever comfortable for the family) overall to understand the exact rural daily life of the certain time. Similarly home visits, community gathering, meeting with stake holder. And survey also was an important part of our camp.
Identifying the possible need of the community ,group organizes various awareness programs among the people of the community. In which we conduct primary health care techniques, sanitations classes, and accounting training for the mother group. And we organize the interaction program among the teacher and students of the higher secondary school and also gave class on HIV and AIDS and sexual health among the students.
Like wise in the little primary school near by group had interaction the teachers, talked about the teaching methods, status of the children, and also the situation of small children for the good access to education. It was also the school where little world Nepal had planned to do some project with the little students. We also donated school kits for the children and regular reading materials to the teachers as well.
The social workers trip to my village was very productive in my village. As the response from the village were very appreciative. They were very happy to see such loving group of youths ever. They wish to see the social work student time again. Similarly they have also given the various responsibility to our group, may be to come up with various projects at Gairimudi in the near future.

So for detail I will be happy to submit you the overall camp report after a month, as all the student are in festival vacation.
